Jaipur Private City Tours

Our guide and driver arrived at our chosen accommodations in the city, as scheduled, just after our breakfast in the morning.

Our first place to visit on the schedule, was to the beautiful; Palace of the Winds or the Hawa Mahal, located right in the heart of; Old Pink City.

The Hawa Mahal Palace

Hawa Mahal Palace Jaipur

This is a lovely historic palace, that dates back to the year 1799. The structure has many floors and high walls, built for the women of the; Royal family.

It was built in this manner, so that they could observe the city streets and festivals, through the private screened viewing openings, inside the Palace.

The Palace includes; 5 large stories and 953 small, screened window viewing areas. A very unique Palace to visit, with some great views of the city from inside.

This attraction is definitely worth the visit, when spending time in the Pink City.

The Beautiful Amber Fort

After a short visit at the; Hawa Mahal, it was on to Jaipur’s major attraction, which is the Amber Fort (Amer Fort). Located in the town of Amer, the Fort is approximately; 11 kilometers from the city.

Now a; UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amber Fort receives over 5000 visitors a day!

Construction began on this magnificent fortress-palace of red and white sandstone, with its beautiful marble, back in 1592.

Amber Fort Grounds

This Fortress/Palace was ideally located at that time and strategically built, on the top of a large hill. Visitors have the option of riding elephants from the parking area, up to the Palace entrance, for a unique added experience.

This Fort definitely must not be missed, when visiting this part of Rajasthan in India. It’s no wonder this Fort/Palace is the; 🥇 number one attraction for visitors, to Jaipur.

View The Jal Mahal In Jaipur

Jal Mahal Jaipur India

From here we made our way back to the city, stopping to view the older; Water Palace or Jal Mahal. It’s uniquely perched out on a man made lake, constructed in the 18th Century.

We then enjoyed a stop at a local restaurant for lunch, suggested by our guide. This stop is for your convenience if you wish to do so, and at your own expense.

After a morning of walking and viewing these two lovely Palaces, this lunch stop was a welcome break. We had a nice relaxing buffet lunch, also giving us time to fuel up and recharge, for the next part of the tour.

Jaipur Jantar Mantar Observatory

Jantar Mantar Jaipur India

After our lunch break, we were given time to enjoy a walk through the {Local Market} of the Pink City, if you wish to do so.

It was then on to the Jantar Mantar Observatory, or the; House of Instruments.

“Jantar Mantar is perfect fusion of the astronomical intelligence with the typical heritage of Rajasthan.”

This is an amazing park, with a collection of; 19 architectural astronomical instruments, built as far back, as the early 1700’s.

Private Jaipur City Tours Are Tailored Just For You

Jaipur Pink City Market

Inside the walls of the Pink City, there’s plenty of time for you to walk the side streets, and do some shopping. Or just people watch, as the locals go about their daily lives and business.

This tour also includes the {Albert Hall and Birla Mandir} if you wish, depending on your time. All and all, this was a great day and definitely worth the experience.

I highly recommend you check out this tour and travel business, especially as it is a; private and exclusive tour catered, entirely to you!

We’ve found over the years, private tours are really not much more in price, depending where you are traveling to, and how many in your group. They are definitely worth paying the extra amount, for a more personalized tour.

Much better than that of been crowded into a typical large tour bus, on a tour packed full of people.
