I meet Iztok at the LPP station on my way home. He was on his way to meet Dejan and I joined him. We had a drink in Krakovc and reminisce about our travels and EUROBASKET. They are volunteers again, this time in Stožice at volleyball matches for the VNL. I decide to come and see them one day and buy a ticket right away for the match where Slovenia plays against Canada (31€).
I went home after work on Wednesday, had lunch, and drove to Stožice, parked at EF (problems with payment). Upon arriving at the hall, I met Milan, who was there with Sabina. Ivo was also present because his nephew was playing, and Izi had brought his baby. The hall is quite full, mainly due to the tickets that were given out to volunteer fire departments from all over Slovenia.
Our team opened the match well, but after a timeout, the Canadians recovered and won the first set. Our team won the second set, where they had been consistently in the lead. In the third set, our team runs over the guests. The fourth set is similar to the second, and the match ends with a 3:1 win for the home team.
After the match, I met up with Iztok and Dejan and drove them home before heading home myself.
