Suite Perks on Carnival Firenze

Booking a suite includes a few extras:

  • Priority boarding and disembarkation
  • Priority tender access (great for Catalina Island)
  • Access to the exclusive Terrazza Moda sun deck
  • Pillow-top mattress for added comfort
  • Bathrobes are provided in the cabin
  • Two bottles of Water
  • Complimentary wash & fold laundry service (1 bag per cruise)

Housekeeping is once a day, not twice. Instead of turn-down service, your steward will ask what time works best to clean your cabin.

Our Stay in Ocean Suite 7359 on Carnival Firenze

We booked this suite almost a year in advance and were lucky to secure a great deal. The location near the elevators and stairs on deck 7 made it easy to navigate, though we still found ourselves lost on this Italian-themed ship more often than expected.

What stood out most was the space. We live in a small home, so having room to spread out always feels like a treat. Over the years, we’ve started spending more time in our cabin—lounging on the balcony, sneaking in afternoon naps, and having a quiet place to recharge. For this introvert, that alone made the suite worth it.

Comfortable King-Sized Bed

The cabin featured a king-size bed (two twin beds pushed together) and a large sofa. The bed had Carnival’s signature bedding, which we found comfortable for the week, with no need for a mattress topper.

Small Walk-In Closet

A small walk-in closet with a full-length mirror offered enough space to unpack for our short weekend. Storage leaned toward shelves rather than hanging space, which worked fine for us, but may be tight if you’re bringing lots of dress clothes. A safe was tucked inside the closet, and there were extra drawers in the desk area.

The Bathroom Setup

The bathroom was spacious by cruise standards, with double sinks and a large jacuzzi tub/shower combo. Elemis shower gel and shampoo were provided, but no conditioner was included. We always had plenty of fresh towels and never needed to ask for more. The shower doors were the most frustrating part of the bathroom as they didn’t glide smoothly and required some effort to open and close.

Stepping Out on the Balcony

The suite’s balcony was narrow but wide, furnished with comfy chairs. I appreciated the more traditional door and picture window setup rather than sliding doors. It made the inside cabin space feel brighter and gave the cabin a more classic, cruise-ship vibe.

Outlets and Tech Details

We had no issues charging our devices because we brought our USB charging station, but there weren’t as many outlets as you’d expect in a suite.

  • Desk outlets: Two U.S. (120V) outlets, one 220V outlet, two USB-A ports, and one European outlet (230V).
  • Bedside outlets: Two USB-A ports built into the padded headboard, located on just one side of the bed. The other side has no USBs, so one person may need to run a cord across the room or use the vanity outlets. I sometimes use a portable charger in bed, which is the easiest workaround for me.
  • USB Ports: Only USB-A ports are available—no USB-C ports are present. Bring a multi-port charger or hub if you rely on newer devices.

Thoughts on the Décor

The décor followed Carnival Firenze’s Fun Italian Style theme, with lots of ornate details, patterned fabrics, and faux fresco-style art. At first, it felt a little busy and even a bit overdone compared to the more modern look on other Carnival ships. But after a couple of days, it grew on us. The unique touches gave the suite personality, and paired with the picture window, it made the cabin feel different from any other Carnival room we’ve stayed in.

Towel Animal = Fun

One small thing I loved about our stay was the towel animals waiting for us after the steward made up the room. It’s a simple touch, but it always made me smile when walking back into the cabin. It’s a nostalgic tradition that many cruise lines have done away with, and I love that Carnival has not gotten rid of it.

Noise Factor

The biggest downside of this cabin was the thin walls. We could hear conversations and TV noise from neighboring cabins, as well as people passing by in the hallway. Thankfully, our neighbors were quiet overall, but light sleepers may want to pack earplugs just in case.

What We Loved (and What We Didn’t) of Carnival Firenze Ocean Suite 7359

Spacious layout with room to relax
Comfortable king bed and sofa seating
Wide balcony with traditional door and window
Double sinks and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom
Elemis bath products included
Priority perks and access to Terrazza Moda

Thin walls—you’ll hear hallway and neighbor noise
Shower doors were clunky to use
Limited hanging space in the closet
Only USB-A ports, no USB-C

We Would Stay in This Cabin Again

Yes, we were happy with Ocean Suite 7359 and the extra space it provided. The noise factor might bother some, but for us, it wasn’t a deal breaker. Next time, I wouldn’t mind trying one of the Terrazza cabins to see how they compare, but this suite worked well for our trip and gave us the comfort we were looking for.
