Free Overnight RV Parking At Camping World
For those who followed along on our Journey to the Mexico a few seasons back,
Camping World Tacoma Washington, was our First Stop on our 1800 mile venture south, in our; Recreational Vehicle.
We planned stops on our journey in; Washington State, Oregon, California, Arizona and Mexico. I’ve put together a number of posts, together with our personal photos and videos, here on my blog.
I wanted to provide some helpful {travel tips and suggestions} that may come in handy, should you venture down this road. If you are traveling by RV in the State of Washington and looking for a; free and convenient overnight stop while enroute to your destination, then consider; Camping World.
About Camping World
Camping World is a great recreational vehicle supply and service facility, with stores scattered throughout the United States.
Camping World has been around since 1966, offering excellent; camping products and accessories, catering to recreational vehicle owners and campers of all types.
They also provide professional service, installations and repairs to owners of recreational vehicles. Their comprehensive website features thousands of quality products for RV’s, camping, towing and basic outdoor living.
In a nutshell, Camping World is your premier one-stop-shop for everything RV related. To top it off, many stores do offer the convenience of; free overnight parking. You can wake up in the morning and do some shopping and/or have your RV serviced, if necessary.
Safe & Convenient Parking
For a couple of seasons in our past travels, we have used the {Camping World} store lot, located in Tacoma, Washington for this very reason. We also enjoy shopping at all their stores throughout the United States, whenever possible.

in the evening hours.
This way, we avoid long border line ups and heavy I-5 traffic congestion. From where we lived at the time, it was leisurely two and half hour drive south to; Camping World Tacoma.
We would wake up refreshed, having had no heavy traffic to contend with the night before. At our leisure in the morning, we would then head into the store at opening hours and do some shopping.
For those looking for a; Starbucks or McDonald’s in the morning, you will be happy to know, they are within easy walking distance away!

You “Must Be” a {Self-Contained} Recreational Vehicle.
This is a convenient overnight parking facility only and especially for those, wishing to have their RV’s serviced and/or, do some shopping at their store.
It has been a few seasons now since we’ve stayed at this outlet, so do check beforehand if they still allow overnight stops, before shopping the next day.

in Arizona. This is an annual event in which we have taken in for many years now.
For those looking for a Camping World store, I’ve listed their website below and a map, to their store in Tacoma area. The store is easy to find, located directly off Interstate 5 (I-5). Located approximately 150 miles from the Canadian border, take {exit 137} and the store, is adjacent to the highway on the west side.
There is a large illuminated sign for those traveling on the interstate to watch for.

Tax Free Shopping At Camping World Oregon
If you’re looking to save even more, there is no sales tax in the State of Oregon,
so we always stock up on RV supplies at the store, located in Wilsonville.
Another great store with friendly and helpful staff!
If you are a member of the Good Sam Club, you also receive;
exclusive club savings, for everything in store and service.
Camping World offers special benefits and added discounts to members of the Good Sam Club. If you’re not familiar with this club, it is the world’s largest {RV membership organization}, with about 2 million members.
Offering; emergency road service, specialized RV insurance, extended vehicle warranties, RV loans and more, it’s definitely worth looking into. As a member, you will also receive a discount on nightly fees at the huge network of; Good Sam RV Parks and Campgrounds.
You can also receive fuel discounts at Pilot Flying J locations as well!
